Before a traumatic brain injury (TBI) altered my capabilities, I thrived as a self-employed innovator for over 30 years, translating vivid imaginations into successful businesses. My ventures began with Wert World, a line of plush toys inspired by my childhood imaginary friend, Joey Wert. This venture took off when I raised enough funds to manufacture in Taiwan, leading to Joey being featured in Toys R Us stores nationwide.

My creative journey continued with Micro-Illusions, a pioneering hair additions company designed to support individuals experiencing hair loss. This venture gained international acclaim, allowing me to provide solutions for clients globally and share knowledge with
stylists across the U.S.

The inspiration struck again with an eco-friendly venture: stylish bags crafted from inner
tubes and license plates,a concept born from personal use that caught public interest.
This idea evolved from a home-based operation to a product featured in prestigious
platforms like The Today Show, celebrity events, and even the Neiman Marcus catalog,
with manufacturing spanning China, India, Mexico, and the U.S.

However, life took an unexpected turn when I sustained a TBI, profoundly impacting my cognitive abilities, including Aphantasia, which erased the ease with which I once visualized new ideas. It's been a challenging six years of relearning how to function differently, focusing intensely on cognitive rehabilitation, and finding new pathways to channel my creativity.
